Spring Forecast: Bright Blue Dresses
In my neck of the woods, people were astounded last month when it was evident that winter had passed with little more than a dusting of snow. Even so, months of the same drab color scheme--every shade of brown and grey--outdoors made me long for spring's bright colors. Bright blue is one of my favorite hues, so I was thrilled to find many bright blue garments in a recent web search. I've collected a few well-price blue dresses, like the Anne Klein Cowl Neck & Asymmetrical Hem Dress ($124) above, to show you some of the possibilities.
I started this post with the Anne Klein dress because it is structured, but roomy. I'm also a fan of this spring's shirt dress style. I think this Anne Klein Shirt Dress (was $139, now $99) would look smashing over white jeggings or tapered slacks on women over 50.
If a sheath flatters your body shape, take a peek at this Anne Klein Tie Dye Sheath Dress ($134). Black and cobalt blue is my favorite color combination right now.
These last two dresses are form-fitting and will probably only work with women whose figures are still well-proportioned and have nice legs.
